Bryson Meunier, our resident mobile search expert, recently spoke at SES Chicago in a session called, "Mobile Search Battle Royal."
For those expecting to see the mobile search version of Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and Rowdy Roddy Piper in a cage match (no comment on which one Bryson would be), let's just say it was quite civilized.
In fact, rather than do battle via Powerpoint, they opted last minute for straight panel Q&A format. Not to fear -- always eager to educate, Bryson posted his presentation at BrysonMeunier.com/SES.
Unfortunately, with SlideShare, you can't see the animation in all its glory (rumor has it Matt Ballek of "What does the QueryMatrix mean to me?" fame lent a hand with the deck) but Bryson's POV rings clear.
Here are his 3 key takeaways for marketers thinking about throwing their hat in the mobile ring:
1. Think "efficient" not "emerging"
2. Focus on Smartphone traffic first
3. Stop guessing about mobile search behavior
Props to Bryson for keeping us on our toes. Now I know why his official RM title was "champion" all those years!
